Mock compliance visits for early childhood and OSHC services.

A practice run of an assessment and rating visit, at your own centre. We review your policies and everyday practice the way an assessor does, and you leave with a clear list of what to fix first.

The assessor’s method

We observe, discuss and sight.

Authorised officers use these same techniques at an assessment and rating visit. ACECQA explains how a visit is conducted.

1

Observe

We watch everyday routines, supervision and transitions: the moments where a policy either holds up or doesn’t.

2

Discuss

We talk with your leaders and educators about how things really run, and whether people can explain why they do what they do.

3

Sight

We look through your policies, records and the evidence behind your practice, and whether they match what happens on the floor.

You leave with a clear list of what to fix first.

It’s a practice run, not a rating. Everything we discuss stays confidential.

Check that what’s written down is still what happens on the floor.

Good on quality, unsure about paperwork

You provide quality education and care, but want to know your evidence holds up.

Frequently asked questions

What is a mock compliance visit?

A practice run of an assessment and rating visit, at your own centre. We review your policies and everyday practice the way an assessor does, and you leave with a clear list of what to fix first.

Is it the same as an assessment and rating?

No. It’s a practice run and our professional opinion, not a rating, and it doesn’t guarantee one. Your service stays responsible for its own compliance, and only your state or territory regulatory authority can assess and rate it.

When should we book one?

When your A&R visit is due, when you’ve had changes in leadership or staffing, or if you want to check Quality Area 2 before the Worker Retention Payment dates.

Do you work with regional and remote services?

Yes. We work on site and online, so regional and remote centres get the same quality advice.

What does it cost?

It depends on your service and what you need. Book a free call, and we’ll confirm any price up front.
